Fairfax

Wednesday 4pm - 8pm, May 4th - Sep. 28th, 2011

FAIRFAX IS CLOSED FOR 2011.
SEE YOU NEXT YEAR!

What the Fairfax Farmers Market lacks in size it makes up for in charm. One of the most beautiful farmers markets in the Bay Area, this market is a beloved community gathering place for the Town of Fairfax. Due to its proximity to West Marin, the market welcomes a handful of local growers from just over the hill in addition to a number of farmers from Sonoma and neighboring counties. Wednesdays at the Fairfax Farmers Market enable the town to put into action their call to “think global, shop local.”

From the Manager:

AIM’s most charming market is counting down the days until its opening night, May 4th. Throughout the summer, Wednesday nights under the Redwoods of Bolinas Park are brimming with the freshest fruits and veggies of the season, delicious prepared foods, live music from local musicians, and vibrant connections the Fairfax community and AIM’s farmers, food purveyors and artisans. This year will mark the Fairfax Farmers Market’s third season without plastic bags, so please remember to BYOBags and Baskets! If you’re in need of a reusable bag or tips on how to take home your produce without all the plastic please visit Sustainable Fairfax’s booth at the market or take a moment to view AIM’s Creative Alternatives to Plastic Bags on our Greener Markets webpage. We look forward to sharing a vibrant and successful Fairfax Farmers Market with you!
