The Hayward Farmers Market is now in its new location at the Hayward City Hall Plaza, located at 777 B Street (2 blocks from the old location). Having enlivened downtown Hayward for nearly 20 years,AIM is thrilled to partner with the City of Hayward to bring added life to the newly renovated City Hall. Join us in celebrating our new home, by shopping at your local farmers market every Saturday.

With over 35 farmers and specialty food purveyors, this market is the place for the local Hayward community to get their fill of fresh, healthy, locally grown fruits and vegetables. The diversity of the market reflects the diversity of the local eaters. With so many loyal farmers and customers the market has developed its own sense of community, achieving one of the primary goals of AIM.

From the Manager

The Hayward Market is having a great summer. The market has grown substantially since the move to City Hall Plaza in May. We have welcoming several new local food purveyors – Simply Garlic, Arnold Enterprise, Swiss Dolice, and Cane River Gumbo. Along with the return of seasonal producers, the market has added two new organic producers in Capay Valley Organics and Shooting Star CSA. Both have enhanced the markets organic selection. All of the vendors have added a tremendous amount of flavor to the market. We trust they have enjoyed the Hayward community as much as we have enjoyed having them. The new space in front of City Hall has attracted more foot traffic, which has allowed the market to attracted new vendors, so thank you for supporting the Hayward Market.


In addition to new food purveyors and farmers, the market has welcomed the Hayward Public Library. The non-profit arm of the library, Friends of the Hayward Public Library, has been selling used books every other weekend in hopes of generating funds to support the library. To date the response from the public has been extremely positive.


The market is anticipating new changes as we head into the fall and holiday season, so feel free to stop by and support Hayward local businesses and regional producers.
