The Novato Farmers Market has established itself as one of Novato’s most anticipated weekday events throughout the summer months. Every Tuesday evening, local residents make their way to the recently renovated Downtown Novato to pick up seasonal fruits and vegetables from local farmers, enjoy a family dinner from one of the market’s truly unique food purveyors, and dance down Grant Avenue to the tunes of local musicians.

The Novato Farmers Market opens for the season on Tuesday May 4th. Throughout the season we will welcome over 50 farmers and food purveyors, and 20 different artisans to Grant Ave. Come meet market favorites Ortiz Brothers Farm (Mario from Sonoma Co.) who grows tasty organic vegetables, Rodin Farms (Marie from Stanislaus Co.) who grows all the delicious stone fruits and nuts; and Panorama Bakery (Ana and Eric from San Francisco). A core community of celebrated regulars will be returning for the 2010 season, including Novato locals: Flourchylde Bakery (Dion), Mediterranean Delight (Jennifer, Justin), J & T Jams (Veronica), Kettle Thai (Joe, Mon), and our newest Novato addition, The Ultimate Souvlaki (Bobby). The success of these local businesses is a testament to the market’s role in incubating small local businesses and bringing local people into the mix to give the market a unique Novato flair. It makes the market feel like a true community gathering place. As a Novato local, I’m most looking forward to seeing good friends. The market has a magical way of bringing folks together to celebrate good company and good food. It brings a lot of life to the City of Novato, and I’m simply thrilled to be a part of it.
