The Sunday Marin Farmers Market is AIM’s largest market and the third largest farmers market in California. At summer’s peak, nearly 200 local farmers, specialty food purveyors and artisans come together to celebrate a vibrant local food movement. This market has grown tremendously since it opened in 1987, and has long been considered one of the premier markets in the state. Still, the market maintains its community roots, welcoming local eaters who religiously come to the market to take home the freshest foods of the season and to thank their farmers.

From the Manager:
There are a few new vendors that everyone should know all about, and what they add to the market! Canvas Ranch is a new farmer to our market, located only a stone’s throw from the market in Sonoma County. Tim and Deborah’s organic bounty is soon to have organic grains, exclusive to the market! While the weather may start to turn, our bounty is still at capacity.
If you remember from last year, Gabriel Farms is back in season with their wonderful pears from Sonoma County. If you’re looking for a pick-me-up, slice up some Asian pears along with some strawberries and indulge your taste buds!
One good thing about this atypical long winter we had and cooler summer is that it was wonderful for apples! Make sure to add apples to your list for next week, as they are as good as you’ll find! My personal favorite is the gravenstein apple, which at this point is already vanishing from the tables. Not to fret, the late season apples will dazzle you as well. Stop by Dave Hale of Hale Farms or Paul with Nana Mae to try over 10 varieties!
In case you are in need of a gift – holiday or personal – take a stroll down bakery row to find the amazing group of artisans who pour their crafts into the aisles each week, showcasing our talented pool of artists and craftspeople. Grab your baskets, bags and carts and come join us at the market every Sunday! See ya there!
