Make a Difference

AIM is looking for local food enthusiasts interested in volunteering at our farmers markets. Opportunities abound and your energy will play a pivotal role in building vibrant local food communities. Below are brief descriptions of the volunteer positions available at our seven markets.

Information Booth Volunteer:
Help set up, manage, and take down Information Booth at your local market. Answer questions, sell merchandise, and promote AIM programs and events. (All Markets)

Photography Volunteer:
Take photographs in support of AIM programs, events, displays, website and marketing/media efforts. (All Markets)

Special Events Volunteer:
Assist AIM staff in coordinating Special Events and Fundraising Event programs in support of AIM’s mission.

Culinary Programs Volunteer:
Help with AIM’s culinary education programs during the summer such as chef demonstrations, market tastings, and the new Eat Local 101 hub. (Sunday Civic Center only)

Zero Waste Education Volunteers:
AIM is thrilled to be launching a new recycling and composting program at the Thursday and Sunday Marin Farmers Markets. We need a dedicated team of volunteers to help educate farmers market shoppers about how to use the new system correctly and to encourage recycling. Volunteers will manage 3 “recycling” stations at the Thursday and Sunday markets from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm. Volunteers are to explain the various bins and what goes in each. Help the customers when needed get their waste/recyclables and compostables into the correct bin.
