Support Your Local Food System by Dining Out

Week of August 6th - August 12th, 2023

Dine Out Farmers Market Week features local restaurants that highlight the bounty from the Bay Area and California farms by using fresh and seasonal ingredients.

The week of August 6 – 12 is National Farmers Market week and the Agricultural Institute of Marin (AIM) is celebrating with a group of restaurants that source locally produced food and shop at the farmers market each week. During Dine Out Week, selected Bay Area restaurants will feature a farmers-market-inspired menu or a featured menu item highlighting local ingredients.

A portion of the proceeds will go back to AIM to support our Racial Equity Fund. Every time you dine out, you’ll be supporting Black, Indigenous, and People of Color-led food businesses getting established at the farmers market.

Over the past two decades, Bay Area chefs have redefined what “fresh” means when it comes to cooking ingredients. Freshness means the time since a product was harvested, where and how it was grown and how far the ingredients have traveled. Chef’s share their passion of using high-quality ingredients by supporting local agriculture, purchasing directly from the farmer. In addition to produce, the farmers market also offers products from local ranches, dairies, and poultry farmers, offering fresh, humanely raised meats, cheeses, milk and eggs.
