Volunteer Opportunities

AIM is looking for local food enthusiasts interested in volunteering at our farmers markets, community programs, and events.

Supporting our local food system takes a village. Your energy will play a pivotal role in building local food communities.

Please fill out the desired interest form below and we will reach out with more information.

Here are brief descriptions of some of the volunteer opportunities available at AIM:

  • Help AIM put together produce boxes with local and seasonal fruits and vegetables fresh from the farmers market. Packing is from 8am-11:30am at the Thursday Marin Farmers Market. Bounty boxes are distributed in San Francisco, Alameda, and Marin Counties to food insecure households and are available for purchase with cash and EBT as well.

  • Join us at your local AIM farmers market to help create a welcoming environment, answer customer questions, and process EBT/CalFresh benefits. Help your community members access fresh, healthy, and local food, and enjoy spending time at the Farmers Market.

  • Occasionally we have opportunities to help out in our office on campaigns, education, social media, and more. If this is something you're interested in, we will reach out to you and discuss interests and availability.

  • Come help kids learn about where their food comes from! During the school year, AIM brings school kids out to farms, leads tours of the farmers market, and hosts classroom presentation to teach them about agriculture, supply chains, and environmental science.

Volunteer Requirements

  • Must be 16 years or older
