May 2 — Opening Day Celebration
We’re starting the season strong with a 9am ribbon cutting to mark Opening Day, followed by a festive Mother’s Day craft to get a head start on celebrating the people we love most.
May 9 — Mother’s Day Lavender Craft
Create a simple, handmade gift using fragrant, locally grown lavender from Point Reyes Lavender Co.. Using scrap fabric, you’ll make a dried lavender sachet—perfect for tucking into a drawer, gifting to a loved one, or bringing a little calm home with you.
May 23 — What to do with Extra Food
Join us for an engaging, community-centered workshop focused on practical, place-based solutions for reducing food waste and building a more connected local food system in West Marin.
Together, we’ll explore:
What to do with extra food, including donation, sharing, and food recovery pathways
Local West Marin food system initiatives and ways to get involved
How reuse systems and thoughtful packaging choices can help reduce food-related waste
This collaborative workshop aims to empower community members with actionable tools, resources, and connections that support a more resilient and sustainable future.
Presented in partnership with organizations including Zero Waste Marin, ExtraFood, Cleaner California Coast, and West Marin Food Systems.
