Job Overview:
Fire Swamp Provisions is seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Farmers Market Associate to join our team at the Marin Farmers Markets on Thursdays and Sundays. The successful candidate will load our van at the bakery, set up the stand to our standards, proactively engage customers, and maintain strong communication with ownership on market trends.

Responsibilities:

● Set up and work the booth in a timely and organized fashion.

● Welcome and assist customers, sharing information about our products and farmers.

● Keep the booth organized & stocked at all times; breakdown at the end of markets..

● Communicate with ownership in a timely manner.

● Promote our offerings and educate visitors on the quality and origin of our products.

● Maintain cleanliness and organization of our market space and display.

● Process sales and payments accurately.

● Enforce market policies and safety guidelines as needed

● Assist with additional promotional activities and signage as needed.

● Represent Fire Swamp Provisions with professionalism and enthusiasm.

● Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

● Strong customer service and communication skills.

● Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

● Previous experience in retail, food service, or farmers markets is a plus.

● Passion for local food, farming, and community engagement.

● Reliable, punctual, and adaptable to market needs.

Schedule:

● Thursdays and Sundays during market hours (5:30AM to approximately 2PM).

● Additional days if available.

Compensation:

● $23-25/hour, plus tips

● $30/market trade allowance
